COLLECTION: my lipsticks! __MakeuPanda

I took these photos a long time ago and haven't got around to posting them yet.
So this is just a collection of my lipsticks.
I don't have that many but I do love them and am constantly buying more! :)

I store them in this glass pot from Hobbycraft but I think that I will need something bigger soon hehe.

These are colortrend by Avon. I don't like woodland very much but bikini is very cute.
These are Topshop lipsticks, and the colours are really rich and apply well.

These are Mac and I collected quite a few of these with Back to Mac. If you're wondering which swatch is which then please don't hesitate to ask.

These are just two randoms! Barry M in black, because Ireally wanted a black lipstick and I knew that Barry M did one for a cheap price! :) It's lovely but takes a few coats to build up the colour. The other is a small Urban Decay lipstick in Midnight Cowboy. It's a miniture version my mum got me in a set :) The colour is quite sheer but looks very pretty.

Which is your favourite lipstick brand and colour? :)

HAUL: small haul of recent bargain purchases! __MakeuPanda

So recently I bought these lip balms which are Lip Smacker and I got them from Primark. They have quite a few different 'flavours' of lip balm and I got the Coca Cola Vanilla, Coca Cola Cherry, Sprite and Fanta.
They are so cute and smell SO good, especially the Cherry Coke one, but that's because I love cherry coke. They were £1.50 each.
I love them alllll!

And, today I went to Home Bargains, and I love it, because you just buy all the stuff you don't really need but you buy it because it's cheap! Hahaha, I'm not sure why but I love those shops... ANYWAY. I bought these eyelashes because, to me, it doesn't matter what brand they are as long as they look ok, it's the glue that matters! And I have DUO eyelash adhesiv so, I'm all set.
These are Girls Aloud festival lashes by Eyelure, I got them from Home Bargains for 99p each!!
These are 'Cheryl' and have like gold paint splashes on them.
These are 'Sarah' and are red and black and so long and pretty.
These are by Dimples and were £1.99 for two pairs.

I love beauty bargains! They also have Simple makeup wipes really cheap and moisturisers and things.
We also got some of those non slip hangers for £2.99 for a pack of ten. They are great for clothes which have a wide neck or strappy dresses which don't cling to hangers very well. Plus they are narrow and don't clutter your wardrobe.

What do you think?

MAKEUP LOOKS: a collection from the last few weeks __MakeuPanda

I must start this post with an apology- I have been gone awhile, I know! Unfortunately I had 5 A level exams to deal with... But now I'm free! With plenty of time to focus on my make-up ;)

So! On to the post!
I'm going to post a few looks that I've done since my last post.. I've been collecting photos but not updating my blog, so here's my last-two-weeks-or-so in photos! Haha.
Firstly, a quite old photo of a look which I never posted here, so I thought I would share it with you!

A blue and gold look, I THINK I used mac eyeshadows for this but to be honest it's a while ago!
And a matching dress from Matalan, how lovely...

Next, a drag-queen kind og look I created whilst playing around with makeup the other night, hope you like! (I really need to purchase something which covers my eyebrows better than pritt-stick...)

Next is a soft smokey brown look.
Please excuse messy bedroom floor...

And now on to a classic red lip and lined eye:
My beloved Blackberry and a not-so-great case :s

My red lip is Daredevil by Topshop with my red liptar in NSFW.

Finally, an old photo:
Hahaha..cute gothy.
Which look do you like the best?

FREEBIE: electric teal nail polish, free in In Style magazine! _MakeuPanda

I got this polish free with In Style magazine, we needed it, since they are normally £11, it seemed a crime not to!
I already have one similar to the nude-y one, but am still wanting the orange one!!
So this teal colour is called electric teal and is by Nails Inc.

And with a base coat, and two coats (I think, it may have been one) it looks like this:
Yes, yes, I do need to learn how to paint nails properly...
Next I decided to add on my new elf matte-ifying polish,
So it looked like this.
With or without the matte finisher?
I like it shiny best, I think, but the matte finish is a nice change and it's more "fashionable", I suppose.
Which do you prefer?

MAKEUP LOOK - simple natural eye look using Sleek's Paraguaya __MakeuPanda

I've done this look twice now since getting the palette and I think it's my new favourite everyday look.
It's mega simple, using only one brush.
All I did was take Sandstone (a very pale pinky white) with my 217 and "wash"it all over my eyelid, right up to the brow bone. It doesn't have to be really thick, but a smidgen of colour. Basically we're getting a base to blend into.
Next I took Bittersweet (A warm-toned grey) with the same brush, knocked off any excess and worked this into the crease of my eye with a windscreen-wiper motion. Don't press on too hard but you still want the product to transfer.
Finally I used a very light hand to pick up some of Stone, a very dark grey/black with the same brush, and gently worked this into the very outer V of the eye. Follow the path of the Bittersweet but don't take it as far in. The key here is to be GENTLE and LIGHT-HANDED. This gives the soft look to the make up.
Then add your mascara and we're all done. Simples.

I really like it!

ALSO a picture of my recent take on Katy Perry's E.T. music video look (kinda sorta) :D

COLLECTION - my MAC palettes and Coastal Scents palettes _MakeuPanda

These are my two MAC eyeshadow palettes. I have one of neutrals and one for colours.
 ALL L TO R:
Top: Brun, Tempting (waste of money, crumbly, doesn't go on smoothly), -EMPTY*sob*-, Carbon (a staple) Black Tied
Middle: Bamboo, Amber Lights (beautiful colour), Mythology, Print, (a very empty) Beauty Marked
Bottom: Samoa silk (a very odd colour, not sure what possessed me to buy this), Gorgeous Gold, Ricepaper, Crystal Avalanche (the prettiest highlight colour EVER), Gesso
ALL L TO R:
Top: Post Haste, Creme de Violet, Parfait Amour, Humid, Plumage (not a great dark blue, would prefer a more blue-y colour, this is quite greyish)
Middle: Orange, Stars 'n' Rockets, Tilt, Swimming, Freshwater
Bottom: Chrome Yellow, Idol Eyes, Bitter (great colour when layered up), Shimmermoss, Electric Eel (one of my first and still one of my favourites)

Stars 'n' Rockets goes great with Tilt and Parfair Amour.

Next my Coastal Scents 88 palette:

I got this from www.coastalscents.com and It's great, the shadows are only small but are domed so there's plenty of product. Plus they are greatly pigmented and there's so many colours!

Next is my Coastal Scents Contour and Blush palette which I got from the same website.

The blush colours are flattering and the contour works even on my skin if you apply it thinly enough ! :)

Hope you like this post,

REVIEW + MAKEUP LOOK - Nails inc. Charlotte Street polish + my Royal Wedding Day make up! __MakeuPanda

I got this Polish in a set of 3 from TK Maxx for around £12.99 which is a mega bargain, since they cost £11 each! (I think I'm slowly becoming a nail polish obsessor) The colour is a very pale greyish silver which isn't very shimmery but not matte either.
Here are some photos:

I think in theory it's a nice polish, and of course, as with all Nails Inc., it goes on smoothy and is quite opaque so I can't really grumble, however it's just not the colour for me. I don't know, I just think it's a bit drab looking. I prefer brighter polishes I think.

Anyway, moving on, here's some pictures of the makeup which I wore to watch the Royal Wedding at a friend's house.
The polish is from the same set as Charlotte Street and is called Hanover Square.

As you can probably tell I was going for the British flag theme. Maybe it was a bit much for watching the telly but I had fun doing it!
Thanks for reading!

REVIEW - Primark Beauty Wipes __MakeuPanda

I recently got a double pack of these Beauty Wipes from Primark at £1, which I have to say, is quite a pleasing price. 50p a pack? Yes please!!!
And fair enough, the wipes are great for the money, however I have to admit they are quite harsh and not great for sensitive skin. I'd say that they are fine for removing lip prducts and face makeup but not for removing eyeliner, mascara etc.,especially not waterproof mascara!
They do eventually remove eyeliner if you rub a bit, but I hate to rub my eyes as my skin gets all puffy and red :( which isn't good.
I guess these are more for cleansing bare skin than removing makeup, although it does say they remove makeup on the packet.
Maybe using these for the face, and an eye make up remover product on a cotton wool ball, might work better.
Personally I'd rather have a gentle, quick wipe to use to remove my makeup efficiently.
So, thanks, but no thanks, Primark!

REVIEW - Sleek Sunset & Paraguaya Palettes __MakeuPanda

More Sleek palettes!
The first one I'm going to talk about is the sunset palette. I got this from Superdrug at £6.49, which as I always say, for 12 richly pigmented colours, is a steal!
It comes in packaging like this:
And these are the colours:

The colours a richly pigmented and I love how summery they are, I will definately be taking this palete away on holiday with me! Plus Sleek always include a black shadow which is useful.
These are some swatches so you can see how they go on.
And this is a quick look I did using the palette:

I think I used the bright orange and the shimmery gold. The colours are quite shimmery and go on smoothly.

Next is the Paraguaya palette which is from the 'Avoir la peche' collection, whatever that is! :) The packaging looks like this:
ahh mad photography skillz... not!
And this time the eyeshadows have names! Yay!

The colours are more matte than the Sunset ones, but a couple are quite similar.
Here are some swatches:
The pigments in this palette aren't quite as strong as in the Sunset one, but I think that's just because they are matte rather than shimmery. The Peach Gold is really lovely and my favourite!

Both palettes come with these double-ended sponge applicators which I tend to discard because I don't find them useful.
However you may find it useful! (I know my Mum likes them for smudging shadow under her eyes)
Which set of colours do you prefer?
